Jodi Reed, DVM

General Veterinary Dental Provider

Dr. Jodi Reed graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Following a rigorous internship in West Los Angeles, she practiced in Redondo Beach, CA, before relocating to North Carolina in 2003 to start a family. In 2007, Dr. Jodi attended Dr. Brett Beckman’s extraction lab, which ignited her passion for dentistry. In May 2009, she and her husband, Jason, founded Harmony Animal Hospital, where dentistry and oral surgery became central to her practice. This focus led to the opening of the Veterinary Dental Center of Atlanta in October 2021.

Throughout her career as a general practitioner, Dr. Jodi observed the profound impact of oral healthcare on her patients and their relationships with their owners. She learned techniques that made dentistry easier and enjoyable, revolutionizing her approach. Dr. Jodi completed the Veterinary Dental Practitioners Program through the International Veterinary Dentistry Institute in 2018 and now serves as an IVDI instructor.

Outside of work, Dr. Jodi enjoys traveling with her husband and their three daughters, with the Caribbean being a favorite destination. As a PADI Scuba Divemaster, the sea feels like a second home to her, with sea turtles as her spirit animal. She is also gradually learning Spanish.
